Tara smiled then and kissed him again and again until they were both laughing at her exuberance.
"When you are properly healed, I want us to get married again in our local church,” he smiled in between their kisses. “Will you marry me, Tara?"

A month later they were married in the tiny local church, with most of the residents of Glenroy Crossing attending as guests. Emma was as proud as punch to be Tara's flower girl, while David was, once again, best man and Michelle was Matron of Honour.
Tony was arrested by the police for his harassment and subsequent attack on Tara and placed on a five-year good behaviour bond. The documents signing over Tara's inheritance were considered by the court to have been done under duress and returned to her. She and Ryan decided to sell the house and property as her father wished, but she bought another house for her stepmother Julia and Tony feeling that's what her father would have wanted.
Now they had returned for a few days to the ski lodge in the mountains. This time Ryan had booked the honeymoon suite, much to Tara's embarrassment.
"How could you?” she chided as the receptionist gave them a knowing smile.
"Because, my woman, I intend for the rest of our lives to be one long honeymoon,” Ryan teased as he dumped the cases on the floor and, lifting her up, fell into the middle of the huge four-poster bed.
Tara laughed up at him, her eyes full of love for her beautiful man from the High Country. “In that case, let the honeymoon begin,” she responded, her arms reaching for him.
